I am so happy, I finally got my new computer and its a beautiful MAC!
The coolest feature is the 1GB of RAM (compared to 256mb in my old PC) and the possibility to upgrade it to 3GB, but what I LOVE more than anything is the beautiful 24" Monitor screen! Now I can throw my fucked up monitor away.
I just need to read the manuals cause I am having some trouble getting used to and I have a few questions that I need to find the answer to like...how do you create folders and stuff

Looks damn nice.
It will present probles with our filenaming system in the gallery though, you may have to go back and edit the filenames for some uploaded files, which does suck.

Dude, how old was your old computer!!! Congrats on the new baby. I've been looking into the new Macs myself (was on that train back when the G3 was the hot new thing and I worked a bit on the dual processor G5 in a studio) but the cost is really prohibitive compared to a fairly standard PC of comparable specs. I just got one of the (relatively) new HP's that are about 1/4 the size of a regular comp and although it doesn't have room for any additional hard drives (the one that's in there is 250 Gb and I don't plan to download that much porn) and the RAM is only expandable to 2048 it's good enough for a music computer for me. Plus it was only about half of the Mac you got.
