This year I've only been to:
Kamelot - fucking awesome, amazing, great, incredible...
Evergrey - evergrey!
It's to bad that Castle Festival that was to take place In Smederevo, Serbia was canceled. A lot of good bands would have played there. I had a ticket for that since December last year!

I went to:
James Taylor in Heineken Music Hall, Amsterdam on 5 April 2008 - He made good jokes, but it's not really my kind of music.
And in 2007:
Bob Dylan in Heineken Music Hall, Amsterdam on 8 April 2007 - Horrible. Just compare this: Bob Dylan in Amsterdam with this: Bob Dylan - Like A Rolling Stone (From Unreleased Hard Rain) ! Look, in the second video, he even smiles sometimes (which is very rare for Bob Dylan) and he sings (which he doesn't in the first vid). He absolutely did not say 1 single word to the audience, and didn't look too happy to be there.
Alquin in Philharmonie, Haarlem (Harlem) on 27 November 2007 - Enjoyed the concert a lot. I know, you've never heard of Alquin. They're a Dutch group from the 70's. "Wheelchair Groupie" is probably their biggest hit, though certainly not mine. The concert looked a bit like this: ALQUIN They're 60-year-old people now, though they sound like they did on their albums thirty years ago.
I also saw the "Rosenberg Family", also in the Philharmonie in Harlem. Don't know the dates, but I do know they played so fast that my head should've exploded when listening to it. It was cool when two of them played on the same guitar at the same time
So I've only been to 1 gig within the last year which I actually liked.

Holy shit, last night NIN was un-fucken-believable! Visually, it's by far one of the best shows I have ever witnessed.

Just saw Metallica last Sunday night in Columbus, Ohio. They were great, as always. I've got two different audience recordings, but don't know if I will share them or not, as they're pretty much unlistenable except for when there's no music playing and only James talking. Oh well, there's a great soundboard recording of the show available on LiveMetallica anyway.
