Digital Camera

For those of you who attend concerts and record video of the performances, what kind of digicams do you use? I'm getting one, but I want a camera that picks up the sound easy, unlike some digital cameras where the bass distorts it.
I was looking into the Panasonic TZ3, it has an amazing zoom for pictures, and I believe it picks up sound pretty well. It's 7.2 megapixels, I think.
However, it's predecessor, the TZ1 is 5 megapixels, but it has the ability to zoom while recording video, unlike the TZ3.
Which one would you guys go for? Either way, it'll set me back about 200 bucks.
Thanks.

Another question, it might be a little dumb. If I recorded a video with this camera, and extracted the audio from the video, could I extract it in .flac format, or would it still be lossy because it might have been mp3 sourced?
Thanks.

If you're just using the video function of your digital camera then it is lossy. Sorry dude. Thanks man, right now I bought a fairly simple camera, a Sony Cybershot DSC-W80, but it picks up audio really well. I believe it only has a digital zoom for recording videos, but most venues I've been to so far, I am never more then 50 ft. from the stage, with the exception of Warped Tour.

Also one thing I should mention is that digital zoom is different than optical zoom. Digital zoom is basically crap. It will allow you to take a picture from further away but the quality REALLY suffers with digi-zoom. Optical zoom is what will make your pictures look great; even from far away. Hope that helps.
