Hi,
Does anyone know any good programs that will take the audio from a DVD and convert it to a file you can then burn down to CD? Preferably one where you can edit the track cuts as opposed to just tracking it from the chapters of the DVD

you need this program, DVD Audio extractor, you can extract the audio to mp3, wav or ac3 and split by tracks

One thing to keep in mind when extracting audio from a DVD. Audio on DVD is AC3 in most cases and recording this to wav will not give you a lossless CD. Just a warning if you're thinking of trading CDs ripped from DVDs...
As for the ripping, you can just play the dvd and use any recording software to record "what u hear" on your pc.

I use a program called DVD Audio Ripper
It gives you the choice to rip separate chapters.

I use DVD Audio Extractor. It's a very good program. You can rip the sound as FLAC, too.
When you play dvd look at the configuration panel, if it says that Audio is LPCM than it is 98% lossless. All other forms are lossy.
Cheers!
